“My name is Dorian. I work for an extermination company called The Solution. We hunt the night; in search of the creatures most people call vampires. Within the ranks of The Solution, I am known as Commander, but within the whispers of vampires, I am known as Turncoat, for I slay my own kin. Yes, the rumor is true. I, myself, am a vampire. It was not by choice that I am such a fiend. I was born a vampire nearly three centuries ago by two vampiric lovers. For this reason, I am labeled a rare kind of vampire called Pure. Pures’ are the most powerful, bloodthirsty, and violent of all vampires, but I keep my tainted hunger under control by drinking donated blood, and enduring weekly injections of a temporary antidote called Garlex. It sustains my thirst for a short period of time, but as with all the ‘cures’ The Solution’s doctors manufacture, my body is beginning to reject it. The Solution’s High Council keep me within their order to study the effects their medicines have on me, and use me as a guinea pig to find a cure. Not only do they use me as a test subject, though.  I am also a highly trained hunter and assassin of these ferocious beasts. Many associates of The Solution find it hypocritical for one of their own to be a vampire, but many have soon found out that attempting to kill me was the last mistake they would ever make. The High Council forgives the act of defending myself against other Solution members, as they have made it perfectly clear to the clan that I am no threat to them, or any other human life for that matter. Well, as long as they keep the Blood Bank filled.

The Solution began a thousand years ago, after a vampire began terrorizing all mankind. This very gifted vampire had infiltrated the Empire’s gates, and took control of the Emperor’s mind. This vampire was known as Solidus. Many believed he was just a powerful sorcerer who stood by the Emperor’s side on his council, but he feebly controlled the strong-willed Emperor’s mind with his vampiric magic. He compelled Emperor Conan to wipe out most of the treacherous armies, as well as the peaceful communities, of the many territories and regions of Earth, so they could conquer humankind. Solidus then murdered the Emperor and framed the well-loved General Deimos of The Empire as the slaughterer. Solidus became Emperor for a small amount of time, reeking havoc and toying with human’s minds. The terror continued until an old adversary and her lover fought their way into Solidus’s palace to avenge thousands of innocent deaths. Emperor Solidus revealed the truth about Emperor Conan’s death to the council members of the Empire, and the legendary battle began. The insane vampire and his faithful bodyguards were slain by the female adversary and her partner, and peace would soon fall upon the Empire. Unfortunately, the woman fell terribly wounded during the epic battle. Her lover, a newbred vampire, bit her to maintain her life in this world. General Deimos became Emperor Deimos, and his family’s blood continues to rule the Empire until this very day.

The tranquil era of the Empire began, but deep within the depths of Earth, one of the council members became paranoid of the powers of vampires. He discreetly built a layer beneath the ground of the forest, and gradually formed a team of loyal hunters to secretly eliminate the blood-drinking brutes. The councilman called his order The Solution. The clan continued with their traditions, but after two hundred years of secrecy, long after the councilman’s death, the vampires caught on to the underground organization. The bloodsuckers grew angry at having their kind killed ruthlessly and without mercy, so they began to fight back, creating gangs and clans of their own. Immortals grew ever so wary at having The Solution stalk their tracks, and word spread quickly about the once secret organization. Now, eight hundred years later, many humans who wish to rid the vampires from their towns, cities, and villages, favor The Solution. Humankind had grown tired of the nightcrawlers feeding off their families and friends, killing innocent men, women, and children, for the sake of living their never-ending lives.”

This is a rough draft of the editted/rewritten version of Eternal - Chapter 2.

From the beginning, I knew that Dorian has written this entry in a computer, but I wanted to make it more apparent.

I also wanted to show that he's very protective (and somewhat intrusive) on Sebastian, which is why he looks at his file before his own.

And I don't know if you can make it out clearly, but Dorian is hesitant about keeping the entry, which is why he interrupts the computer and almost deletes it. But he changes his mind and quickly turns the computer off. ;P

I hope the computer garble didn't confuse you, I thought it was really fun and cool to put in.
